There's a wave of God coming, What will you do?
There's a wave of God coming!  Surf's up church!

This is not a sweet lapping of the shore, where you might dip your toes
Of gentle ripples and shifting pebbles
             as water comes      and           goes,
                                ebbs      and           flows.
This wave won't be found as some ambient sound
to de-stress,
                  relax,
                           soothe a child,
                                                  all meek and mild.

This wave is wild!
It's going to get gnarly church!  Can you hear God's call?
There's a wave coming!  Surf's up!

Exhilarating,
Liberating,
Intensely challenging
And exciting.
It will overwhelm us, it may be dangerous...

When was the last time you got so soaked you were sopping wet?
Your socks and shoes squelched?
Leaving footprints,
                               marking pavements, shops and schools,
                                                                offices, homes, hospitals?
Bringing His presence as you walk about
Seeing His kingdom seeping out.

There's a wave of God coming!

What are we waiting for?  Where are the risk takers?
